Unfortunately I get a black screen when trying to connect to a computer running MacOS Sierra.
Anyone have a workaround?
Hi, we are aware of this issue and it will be fixed. Once Sierra is out of beta, we can then work on adding it to our list of supported platforms. See here for our policies about beta versions: https://www.nomachine.com/AR03E00450
I just tried NX on Sierra (16a313a) and it seemed to work fine. The main reason I installed Sierra on my Mac is to see if the NX bug TR11M06216 was fixed in case it was an OS X thing instead of an NX thing. However, it's definitely an NX bug (and it's just killing me that it isn't fixed yet…).
I am also getting a black screen with the official release of MacOS Sierra. I am not getting the 'username and password' prompt.
Add me to the list. I got the Black Screen too. I'll be stuck using Mac's lousy Screen Sharing until you get this fixed 🙁
Same here, it seems to work but it shows black screen everthing else works tried all the NoMachine clients and the same.
Hopefully it gets fixed soon.
I dont any trouble on macos sierra with NoMachine until i checked connection preferences -> security -> lock the physical screen when somebody connects. and now NoMachine connect but there is black screen. I removed, reinstalled. still black screen.
There is a release planned for this week and it will contain the fix. See the Trouble Report we have open and sign up to receive the notification of the fix.
Actually, this affects not only Beta or GM sample as ticket said, but official Release of OS too.
Hello everyone, the patch for this bug has been released today. Update now. More details about 5.1.54 are here: https://www.nomachine.com/SU09N00176.
Nomachine Client Linux
Connection problems in Macs may be caused by local extra user account 'nx', created by installing Desktop version instead of Client version of NoMachine. The extra user account may persist even after replacing Desktop version with Client version. Installing Client version and removing extra user account in local Mac solves the issue. I use NoMachine to connect to a remote server. With the upgrade to NoMachine 6 and the loss of the 'NoMachine login', I can't connect anymore. The server administrator said it will take a while on their side to fix this problem, and that I should not expect a solution in the following months.
